Family Services Office

Family Services

Located within the Salvation Army Family Resource Center, Family Services is dedicated to providing the following emergency services to families and individuals in need:

Food

Family Services is one of the 21 local food banks that receives food from Second Harvest. As a regional distributor, the Family Services food bank can assist families with supplemental food once every three months. For additional assistance, families are encouraged to visit their neighborhood food bank.

Clothing and Furniture

Through a partnership with The Salvation Army Thrift Store, Family Services can provide clothing and furniture vouchers when there is an extreme need. Clothing vouchers are not available for children’s school clothing.

Rental Assistance

Through The Salvation Army Homeless Prevention Program, Family Services can assist families facing eviction, or homeless families attaining permanent housing.

Energy Assistance

No funding is currently available for assistance with heat or utilities.

Life Skills Training

Families are encouraged to attend life skills classes offered at no charge at the Family Resource Center. Classes topics include cooking and nutrition, anger managment, budget management, and parenting.
