Sally’s House, a safe haven for abused and neglected children is on the chopping block in this new round of state budget cuts!
Now more than ever, the most vulnerable children in the Spokane community need our support.
Governor Gregoire announced Sunday that she is calling elected officials back to Olympia on November 28th for a special session to address the new $2 billion deficit in our state budget, which was announced late last week.
Budget cuts have already come down for TANF, shelters, homelessness programs and these deeper cuts are now affecting the children in our community who do not have a voice or the ability to speak up - children who have been in some of the most unimaginable situations, often brought our doorstep at Sally's House.
