The Link

The Link is an after-school program for kids aged 5-12. Running Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:30pm within our Community Center, your kids engage in a variety of educational and recreational activities. Our team of staff and volunteers are dedicated to creating a safe and loving environment in which kids can learn and have fun, as they enjoy all that our facilities have to offer.

A Typical day at the Link...

So what will your kids be doing?
A normal day at The Link looks something like this......
3:30-5:00pm
Each day our kids receive a healthy and nutritious snack and rotate between 3 stations:

Station 1. Homework/computer time: Here kids work on and can get help with their assigned homework, work on educational worksheets or increase their computer skills, completing assigned tasks in our computer lab.EvanComp.JPG

Station 2. The Library: Our new library, just completed by the KXLY4 Extreme Team, offers kids a chance to read, listen to stories and play educational games in an exciting & vibrant Libray2.jpgenvironment.

Station 3.  Different each day, the third station is where the kids enjoy organized activities such as arts and crafts, music lessons, gym games and whatever else we can think of!

                                    5:00-5:30pm

This is the kid's free time when they can choose how they spend their time. Playing in the gym, playing video games, playing pool, air-hockey, foosball or ping-pong with their friends, your kids will have a blast!

                                                                                       Cost?

With scholarships the fees may be as little as $5/week. We will always do our best to make sure that ‘The Link' is available to any child who wants to be there. Our goal is to make sure that the program is accessible to ALL, so we offer scholarships which are determined on a sliding scale based on household size and income.

                                                                            Transportation

If your child attends Logan Elementary school and travels by bus, they may be able to take a school bus directly to The Salvation Army campus, where they will be met by The Link staff and volunteers. If your child attends either Garfield or Stevens Elementary school we can provide transportation to the program.
